A Burnley businessman has delighted This Morning viewers with his new money saving segment, which brought viewers to East Lancashire this week.
Dave Fishwick, who had Netflix film 'Bank of Dave' made about his life, has launched a new finance segment with the ITV show called ‘Save with Dave’.
In the segment he gives tips and advice about how the public can save money and find the best deals.
This week Dave went to Harry Garlick electronics retail and repair shop, in Burnley Road, Padiham.
Here he gave some tips about how to haggle and grab a bargain. He also purchased a new washing machine for charity Pendleside Hospice.
He even grabbed a toaster to bring back to the This Morning studio.
On the episode he said: “Do your research online and then ring up.
"You want to try and get the best deal on the telephone so when you get down here you can push them a little bit further.
“If you have scratches [on stock] that’s no problem. If they don’t knock money off you can ask for something else like a warranty or free delivery.
“Communication is super important.”
Dave’s energetic nature left This Morning hosts, Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary in stitches.
Alison said: “You are the best. The energy you bring is just perfect. We definitely need that toaster. Toast all around."
“Way to support that high street as well, my friend,” said Dermot.
Dave said: “It was fantastic working with my friends Alison and Dermot. I have just started a new series with This Morning called ‘Save with Dave’.
“I am helping real people save money and find the best deals! Great fun, see you all again very soon.”
After his appearance on the show This Morning fans took to social media to praise Dave.
One person said: “Well done Dave; love to your wife and family. You make Burnley proud.
Another said: “Dave isn't just saving you money. Looks like he's on a mission to save This Morning.
A third said: “Dave has made my day he’s so uplifting he’s made my morning . Love his energy.”
“Honestly I am sitting here in so much pain,” said another. “Dave is great medicine. Just brilliant - well done.”
