Update: Gisburn Road has now reopened following the crash.
A major road has been closed following a crash.
Gisburn Road close to the Old Brewhouse in Bolton-by-Bowland has been shut by the police.
Traffic is being diverted via Hellifield Road with officers saying they are working quickly to re-open the area.
A van has crashed into a wall of a church. A woman, in her 50s, was taken to hospital and treated for rib injuries.
A spokesperson for the police said: "Please be aware Gisburn Road, Clitheroe, is currently closed close to The Old Brewhouse due to a road traffic collision, with traffic being diverted via Hellifield Road.
"We're working to reopen this as soon as possible.
"We were called at 2.41pm. Officers attended and found that a van had collided with the wall of a church.
"The van driver, a woman in her 50s, was taken to hospital for treatment to rib injuries."
