A Hyndburn branch of the discount shop Home Bargains is one of 64 stores to get a new bakery.
After the successful introduction of bakeries at Home Bargains stores nationwide from Darlington to Basingstoke to Merthyr, the reatiler plans to introduce another 20 bakeries at stores across the UK over the next 12 months.
A Hyndburn store is listed among those getting the new instore bakery. The store is based at Eastgate Retail Park in Accrington.
The bakeries are said to offer a selection of baked goods, such as baguettes, tiger rolls, pastries, muffins and doughnuts, with the focus on a small product range offering the best quality and value.
A spokesperson for Home Bargains said: “In recent years the market for fresh baked goods in the UK has grown significantly and the bakeries we have introduced at stores nationwide have allowed customers to enjoy our competitively priced fresh bakery range.
“We are looking forward to introducing more bakeries in stores as we roll out our fresh bakery range for customers across the UK to enjoy.”
All bakeries will operate on the same opening hours as the stores they are located in.
Some of the products on offer include a five-pack sausage rolls priced at £1.09; a baguette priced at 75p; five-pack tiger rolls for £1.25 and four-pack iced, sugared or chocolate ring donuts at 99p, a cinnamon whirl will set you back 55p and a chocolate and hazelnut croissant will be 94p.
