Shoppers have been invited to Pretty Parade boutique's first birthday celebration in Ramsbottom.
Mollie Butterworth, 25, opened Pretty Parade Boutique in Ramsbottom last July and a celebration is in full swing today (July 8) as the owner marks its first birthday.
Upon arrival, customers will be greeted with a glass of bubbly from the prosecco wall and will be able to take advantage of 20 per cent off clothing and 10 per cent off accessories discounts to honour the milestone occasion.
Mollie is excited to welcome both new and regular customers to the boutique's first birthday celebration.
She said: “We’re looking forward to celebrating this big day.
"The first year of a business is all about getting established and trying to build up a customer base and building relationships within the community in general and I think we’ve left an overall really positive impression in Ramsbottom.
“People feel like something like us has been missing and we offer an affordable price point, something a bit different from other high street shops, and everyone loves the brands we sell. It’s been a really positive first year.”
Mollie acknowledged the fact she opened the business during “the worst financial time” but says Ramsbottom is big on supporting and shopping local so has seen the same customers returning to the boutique as well as new ones through word of mouth.
Pretty Parade offers a bespoke service that customers don’t get from the bigger shops on the high street which is one of the reason Mollie says the boutique has done so well.
She said: “I absolutely love getting to know customers down to first name basis and just building relationships.
"People miss that connection and interaction so I think shopping in a small boutique puts the fun back in shopping,
“Shopping independent is fun because you can go with the girls, have a chat, not be rushed, try loads of clothes on and there’s music playing and always a nice atmosphere.
“I’ve also been dressing people for five years so I can suggest styles for customers which you would need a personal stylist for if you were shopping in larger stores.
"It’s just a nicer experience overall.”
Mollie’s plans for the business’s second year is to continue maintaining and growing relationships and organising more events to bring the community together.
The boutique is running a Charlotte Tilbury masterclass in a few weeks time.
The ticketed event will provide a one hour workshop led by two makeup artists, a Q&A session, and guests will be provided with canopies and prosecco and leave with goodie bags.
Mollie added: “I want to put on more fun girls nights where you can just buy a ticket and turn up, you don’t have to stress about organising plans in a girls group chat.
"We want to offer good opportunities for busy mums who just want a night off without thinking about it.
“We’ll be hosting some around Christmas time as well so it’s just all about continue building a presence in the community and working with other local businesses as well.”
Pretty Parade boutique's first birthday event is taking place at the boutique in Bolton Street, Ramsbottom, from 10am to 5pm today.
