Some homes are still without water, after United Utilities found three burst water pipes in Simonstone.
No water or poor water pressure was reported by homeowners in the area at around 10am on Wednesday (June 28).
Two burst pipes were found on Whalley Road and Buckingham Drive.
United Utilities staff worked through the night to repair these bursts and thought the issue had been fixed at around midnight.
At around 8am this morning (June 29), workers found another burst pipe on the junction of Turner Fold and Straits Lane.
Traffic management systems are in place while the repair is carried out.
A spokesperson said: “Our teams have been working throughout the night to restore water supplies to the area and we're pleased to say, all customers' taps should be flowing.
“However, we're now tackling an additional burst on the junction of Turner Fold and Straits Lane and will be working to get this repaired as soon as we can.
“Due to the location, we need to put traffic management in place before we can safely get started
“Our team still have some work to do to get things back to normal, and are working as quickly as possible to restore supplies.
“Thanks for your patience and sorry for any inconvenience this may be causing.
“Once we have an update on the repairs we’ll update the page with the information.”
