Homes have been without water for hours after two burst water pipes were found in Simonstone.
No water or poor water pressure was reported by homeowners in the area at around 10am today (June 28).
Two burst pipes have since been found on Whalley Road and Buckingham Drive.
United Utilities have since been on site, trying to fix the bursts. The Whalley Road burst has been fixed but the team is still working on the second.
A spokesperson said: “We’re sorry if you’re still experiencing no water or poor pressure today.
“We have managed to repair the initial burst on Whalley Road, however we have a secondary burst on Buckingham Drive which is still causing some supply issues in the area.
“Please be assured our team are working as quickly they we can to get this resolved.
“We’re really sorry for the inconvenience this is causing, please bear with us whilst we get this sorted. We’ll keep you updated as we continue to progress with the repairs.”
