Two Lancashire holiday parks are celebrating after winning a hat-trick of awards.

Gisburn’s Todber Valley and Heysham’s Ocean Edge holiday parks both earned a TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award for the third year running.

They are operated by Parkdean Resorts and in total 19 of its holiday parks across the UK have received official recognition from TripAdvisor in 2023.

TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice awards recognises businesses that earn "consistently great" reviews, and the award honours select accommodations, attractions and restaurants that "consistently demonstrate a commitment to hospitality excellence".

Operations director at Parkdean Resorts, Barrie Robinson, said: “The TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards are a fantastic reward for our teams, who do so much to help our guests make lasting memories with their families.

“Guest feedback is hugely important to us, so it’s great to be able to recognise our teams who have received outstanding reviews from the people who visit our parks.”

Parkdean Resorts’ has won at least one British Travel Award every year since 2010, most recently winning three gold awards for Best UK Family Holiday Company, Best UK Holiday Parks and Lodges Company, and Best UK Breaks Holidays at the 2022 awards.

The holiday park operator recently published its first Environmental, Social, and Governance report, which outlines the progress the business is making on its plans to care for its parks, people, and planet by delivering 25 wide-ranging commitments by 2025.

These include addressing climate change and carbon, spaces for nature and having sustainable relationships with its local communities, and it is one of a handful of companies in the UK hospitality, travel and tourism sectors that aligns to all 17 of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
