Firefighters were called to battle a fire in a derelict building in Stacksteads.
At around 10am today (June 16), four fire engines from Bacup, Burnley, and Hyndburn, together with a supporting appliance from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service as well as an aerial ladder platform from Hyndburn attended an incident.
The fire involved a derelict building, approximately 20x30m in size in Brandwood Road, Stacksteads, Bacup.
Firefighters used two 45mm jets to extinguish the blaze.

Crews are still at the scene and are asking members of the public to avoid the area and residents to keep all windows and doors closed.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “At 10.04am on June 16, four fire engines from Bacup, Burnley, and Hyndburn, together with a supporting appliance from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service as well as an aerial ladder platform from Hyndburn, attended a derelict building fire on Brandwood Road, Stacksteads, Bacup.
“The incident involved a derelict building approximately 20x30m in size. Firefighters used two 45mm jets to extinguish the fire.
“Crews currently remain in attendance. Please avoid the area. Keep all windows and doors closed if you are affected by smoke.”
