A driver had their car seized by police after unknowingly taking over a police car at temporary traffic lights in Blackburn.
At around 12pm today (June 14), Blackburn Neighbourhood Officers caught a driver overtaking a queue of cars at temporary traffic lights and requested them to stop.
The driver fled the scene but was caught by police not long after.
A spokesperson for the police said: “It probably isn't a great idea to overtake a queue of cars at a temporary traffic light, especially when one of them is an unmarked police car..
“The below vehicle was requested to stop after the unusual manoeuvre and left dust behind them as they failed to do so, making off at speed.
“A short time later the vehicle was spotted and has been seized.
“Unfortunately for the driver, they have been identified and will be dealt with for the range of offences.”
