Motorists were disrupted by severe delays caused by a car crash on a Ribble Valley road.
At around 8am today (June 14), emergency services were called to the scene of a crash on A59 Longsight Road, Copster Green near to the Yu Restaurant.
The crash is believed to have involved four vehicles and police, ambulance, and the fire service all attended the incident.
The incident was “damage only” and there were no injuries as a result of the crash.
INRIX, traffic updates website, reported slow-moving traffic for around 3.3 miles up to Northcote roundabout.
A spokesperson for the police said: “Officers are on scene with colleagues from the ambulance and fire service dealing with a road traffic collision at A59 Longsight Road, Copster Green.
"Please be aware of this incident and plan your route accordingly to avoid the area."
The road reopened at 10.20am but there are still delays of up to 10 minutes.
