Firefighters were called to battle a caravan fire last night.
At around 7.50pm yesterday (June 13), four fire endings from Penwortham, Preston and Bamber Bridge were called to the scene of a fire in Wigan Road, Clayton-le-Woods.
Firefighters used two hose reels, one jet and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the blaze.
Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of the fire.
Police and the fire service have launched a joint investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
A spokesperson for the police said: “Four fire engines from Penwortham, Preston and Bamber Bridge were called to a fire involving a caravan on Wigan Road, Clayton-le-Woods.
“Firefighters used two hose reels, one jet and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire which is now subject to a joint police and fire investigation.
“No injuries were reported.”
