An investigation has been launched to establish the cause of a building fire in Preston.
Two fire engines from Preston and Penwortham were called just before 6.00pm last night (June 12) to a building fire on Avenham Lane.
Firefighters used two hose reels to extinguish the fire and were in attendance for more than three hours.
A fire service spokesperson said: “Two fire engines from Preston and Penwortham, along with the aerial ladder platform from Preston, attended a building fire on Avenham Lane, Preston.
“Firefighters used two hose reels to extinguish the fire and were in attendance for approximately three-and-a-half hours.
“There is now a joint police and fire investigation.”
