A MAN who repeatedly breached a non-molestation order has been jailed for 24 weeks.
Blackburn magistrates heard that following the first breach Mohammed Akram had been sectioned under the Mental Health Act.
But his behaviour, some of it bizarre, continued seven months later and he was arrested.
Akram, 39, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to three charges of breaching a non-molestation order and criminal damage to a ringdoor bell. He was jailed for 24 weeks and ordered to pay £154 victim surcharge on release.
Scott Parker, prosecuting, said the first incident was in September when Akram had attempted to enter his former partner's property. Police found him in the front garden and he was arrested.
On May 18 he again turned up at her address in Leamington Road, Blackburn, knocking on the door and asking to speak to the children. He threw stones at the window and put two notes through the letter box.
He left but came back and this time removed the ringdoor bell. He came back and threw stones at the windows and returned again several hours later and replaced the ringdoor bell.
Police eventually arrested him in the garden of the house.
Graeme Parkinson, defending, said his client's primary motivation was to see his children
