A large amount of rubbish has been dumped at disused road close to Blackburn town centre.
The rubbish, which appears to be made up of an old kitchen or bathroom, was strewn across the road on Mount Pleasant, close to the entrance to the former Larkhill Health Centre.
Fly-tippers have targeted the area ever since the medical centre was closed. The road was used by drivers regularly until the building was torn down.
It is still used by some motorists as a shortcut from the Larkhill Pharmacy on Cleavor Street.
Larkhill Health Centre was built in 1968, what was then what was then a state-of-the-art health facility. It served the area until 2011 before being torn down in 2015.
According to the Blackburn with Darwen Council website, the authority cannot remove fly tipping that has been dumped on privately maintained land, however they can investigate this to try and identify the offender.
You can report fly tipping online, however if further action is required they may need to contact you to discuss the offence further.
