The owners of ‘Instagram famous’ business Finch Bakery have written a second book and it’s already number one in the Amazon charts.
Owners, Lauren Sinclair and Rachel Finch have written Finch Bakery Disco Bakes and Party Cakes, which is set to be released on August 3.
It is currently available for pre-order and at the time of writing is the best selling baking book in the Amazon charts.
The former Clitheroe Grammar students said they had fun working on the book.
They said: “What a dream it was to work with our [publishing team at 'Dorling Kindersley (DK)] again.
“We’ve had so much fun and stress working on this new book that includes brand new recipes for all occasions and celebrations, including parties, barbecues, baby showers, Christmas, Easter, tea with the family, sitting alone in your living room.
“Please remember the money will not leave your bank until it’s dispatched.
“We are so excited for you all to receive it! It’s perfect for using or just sitting pretty on your coffee table.
“Thank you for supporting us, as usual.”
The book is “packed with 75 decorated party cakes and bakes for every celebration”.
It is described as “an unashamed celebration of sugar, with a generous selection of showstopping sweet treats made for those extra special occasions.”
The Amazon description says: “Lauren and Rachel help you to perfect sumptuous celebration cakes, plus recipes for crowd-pleasing deep-pan cookies, stackable traybakes, and luxurious macarons perfect for entertaining family, impressing friends and gifting to the ones you love.
“Discover indulgent new flavour combinations, and elevate your bakes to showstoppers with easy-to-follow techniques for decorating and finishing like tempering chocolate, adding crumb coating, piping buttercream, and icing scraping.”
In 2016, Rachel and Lauren opened Finch Bakery in Great Harwood after realising that baking for family and friends could actually make them a decent living.
They have since expanded their business, opening another permanent stall at The Mall in Blackburn.
They have also launched temporary pop-up stalls across the UK.
Most recently, they served their sweet treats to Blackburn Rovers fans when they set up a stall outside Ewood Park on Monday (May 1).
The twins said the day went well and they sold out of products, and are hoping to return to Rovers more regularly.
They said: “In 2017 we braved the elements and did a little pop up outside Ewood Park… we almost froze to death and probably took more stock home than we even brought if that’s possible.
“In 2023 we [had] our own little hut and completely sold out of the hundreds of brownies we took… we are Blackburn girls and really proud of how far our business has come.
“Thanks for having us Blackburn Rovers.”
The business has accumulated a loyal following on social media and currently have more than 185,000 followers on Instagram.
You can pre-order Finch Bakery’s new book on Amazon, where it is currently priced at £17.60.
