A popular online cake designer is set open its new sit-in store close to Blackburn town centre.
Signage has gone up for the new Crumbssss store which will take over a what is considered a prime spot on the corner of Simmons Street and Preston New Road.
The corner location was most famous for being the Pronto Print store in years gone by, and more recently was also an accountants and office space.
The area has seen several new eateries launching in recent years such as Heavenly Desserts and Caffee Impresso following major renovations.
This week the new Toro’s Steakhouse opened and will soon be followed by the Saffron Street Restaurant nearby and the Kobeda Palace on the corner of Richmond Terrace.
In the coming year the new Akbar’s Restaurant is set to open on Northgate adding to the growing number of developments in the area.
Crumbssss is a Blackburn based online store which is famous for producing a range of unique cakes and gifts for special occasions and events.
The store said in a post: “All praise is to our Lord, who made this possible.
"Our busiest Eid to date in our new location. We prayed for this and can’t quite believe it’s happening.
"We have had a mad two weeks of non-stop baking, late nights, constant washing up, preparing our shopfront, adding in 10kg of sugar instead of 1kg into our shortbreads, endless trips to the Dulux centre, repainting the bakery shop front three times all different shades, rebuilding the ceiling inside and finally getting our gorgeous sign put up.
“Alhamdullillah, for having such wonderful customers who are pushing us to make our dreams come true.”
The new bakery will open soon.
