Trainspotters have shared pictures and images of the legendary Flying Scotsman as it steamed through Lancashire earlier this week.
The locomotive was spotted ahead of its centenary celebrations at Keighley and Worth Valley Railway in West Yorkshire.
Trainspotter John Calvert took a picture of the locomotive as it travelled through Preston Station on Tuesday (May 2).
A video of the famous steam engine has also surfaced. Phillip Berry shared a video of it passing through Lancaster train station.
The Flying Scotsman will be at the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway between May 6 to 29.
It came to the East Lancashire Railway in March and will be stopping at other locations across the UK across the year.
The Flying Scotsman is considered by many to be the most famous locomotive in the world.
The iconic locomotive was first built in 1923 and was designed by Sir Nigel Gresley.
It was built at Doncaster Works and cost £7,944 to make at the time.
It was officially the first locomotive to reach 100mph and also the first to travel around the world.
It is also a world record holder for a non-stop run in a steam locomotive, a record which was set in 1989 with a 442-mile trip.
