An appeal has gone out after a number of vehicles were damaged over the weekend in an area of Blackburn.
Police have received reports from residents in the Livesey area where vehicles had been damaged, but say many of the reports made on social media have not been reported to police.
Officers say they will contact each victim over the next few days to discuss the issues and plans for an investigation.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: “We have been made aware of numerous vehicles being damaged over the weekend in the Livesey area of Blackburn.
“We will endeavour to make contact with each victim over the next few days to discuss these issues and the subsequent investigation plans in place.
“It is, however, clear that a number of reports on Social Media have NOT been reported to us and also names of possible offenders have also been discussed.
“Please could I ask anyone who has not yet reported these incidents, to report them to us as soon as possible so that we can collate all the information, this will assist with our ongoing CCTV enquiries and allow us to deal with these incidents effectively.
“Without this information, we may miss key information in order to resolve these issues!”
