A 46-year-old woman spent a night in custody after being drunk on a train.
British Transport Police received reports of a passenger who was intoxicated.
Officers arrested the woman at Hapton and she was given a conditional caution and made to complete a drug and alcohol scheme.
A spokesperson for the BTP said: “A 46-year old woman was arrested at Hapton after officers were called to a report of an intoxicated passenger on a train.
“After a night in custody she was given a conditional caution, with a requirement to complete a Druglink alcohol diversion course.”
Druglink’s Diversion Scheme aims to increase people’s understanding of low-level offending related to a substance or type of behaviour.
If someone has received an Out of Court Disposal such as a conditional caution or community resolution for an alcohol or drug related offence, they have to attend the course and failure to do so could result in prosecution.
