A Preston based foundation has received a major donation of clothes and shoes from a family owned workwear firm.

Smart Image Workwear made the generous donation to support the ROCCIA Foundation's Turkey Appeal.

The donation of five pallets of clothes and shoes will assist in the rebuilding efforts following the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey in February.

The ROCCIA Foundation is the charity arm of ROCCIA, as independent Tile, Bathroom and  Kitchen Showroom.

Coordinator of the ROCCIA Foundation, Amjad Patel said: "We are extremely grateful to Smart Image Workwear for their generous donation.

"The earthquake in Turkey has left many people without shelter or basic necessities, and this donation will go a long way in providing support to those in need.

It is heartening to see local companies like Smart Image Workwear stepping up to make a difference in the world."

Bill Rawlinson, Managing Director of Smart Image Workwear, said: "At Smart Image, we believe that businesses have a social responsibility to give back to their communities and support those in need.

"The earthquake in Turkey has had a devastating impact, and we wanted to do our part to help rebuild and support those affected by this tragedy."

The ROCCIA Foundation has been providing relief and support to communities around the world for over a decade.
