Police are appealing for witnesses following a crash which a left two people with serious injuries.

The incident happened at about 9.45pm yesterday (Friday, April 28) when a Skoda Fabia was involved in a crash with a Toyota Prius taxi on Blackamoor Road, Blackburn.

The driver and passenger of the Prius, a man in his 60s and a man in his 30s, suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital where they remain.

The driver of the Fabia, an 18-year-old man from Darwen, suffered minor injuries.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch.

They are keen to identify the driver of a small grey hatchback which was travelling on Blackamoor Road passing the junction of Walker Road at approximately 9.40pm who may have witnessed the collision.

Officers would also like to hear from anyone with CCTV, dashcam or other footage.

Sgt Paul McCurrie, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “This collision has left two people with serious injuries, and I would appeal to anyone who can help to get in touch.”
