A documentary into the murder of Padiham mum-of-two, Katie Kenyon is being aired tonight.
Her ex-boyfriend Andrew Burfield, 51, was arrested for the kidnap of Katie and then charged with her murder in April last year.
In November, Burfield was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 32 years for killing Katie after pleading guilty on the third day of his trial.
A documentary into the investigation of Katie’s murder will air live on Lancashire Police's Facebook page at 6pm today (April 29).
A spokesperson for the police said: “In April last year, Padiham mum Katie Kenyon was brutally murdered.
“Throughout the course of our investigation her killer would lie, deceive and ludicrously make out Katie's death was an accident.
“For Andrew Burfield it was all about control. Our dedicated investigation team unravelled his web of lies to ensure Katie was returned to her family and Burfield was put before the courts. He will be 83 years old before he’s eligible to be considered for parole.
“We and Katie’s family think it’s important to tell her story. So with their express permission and support, tonight at 6pm we’ll be premiering a documentary into our investigation.
“Head to our main Lancashire Police Facebook page at 6pm tonight to see how our dedicated officers uncovered the truth.
“Help us, and Katie's family, tell Katie's story.”
