Food hygiene inspectors have rated 21 eateries in Blackburn with Darwen in the latest round of inspections.
Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety, inspectors have rated eight venues full marks of a five out of five food hygiene rating, nine a four out of five rating, two a three out of five rating, one eatery a two rating and one a one out of five rating.
The eateries with the highest score of five out of five for their food hygiene inspections include Refresh Kitchen at Kingsway at Kingsway Assisted Living, Kingsway Court, Greenhurst Place; rated on April 19, Burger King at Grimshaw Retail Park, Blackburn; rated on April 5, Subway at 17 Market Way, Unit 231; rated on April 5, Finest Mix Grill at 84-86 Sarah Street, Darwen; rated on March 21, The Ranken Arms Ltd at Queens Street, Hoddlesden; rated on March 21, Hoddlesden Club at 2-4 Harwoods Lane, Hoddlesden; rated on March 18, Holly Tree Fish & Chips at 6 Pinewood, Livesey; rated on April 18 and Hamza Takeaway at 22 Queens Park Road, Blackburn; rated on March 12.
In their inspection reports, Refresh Kitchen, Burger King, Subway and Holly Tree Fish & Chips were all rated very good for both hygienic food handling and the management of food safety and good for the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building.
Finest Mix Grill and Hoddlesden Club were both rated very good in all areas and Hamza Takeaway was rated good in all areas.

The eateries handed a four out of five rating for their food hygiene inspections include Lynwood Cantonese at 288 Blackburn Road, Darwen; rated on March 12, Thira Restaurant at 32 Darwen Street, Blackburn; rated on March 11, Lynwood Pizza House at 283 Blackburn Road, Darwen; rated on March 12, Lahori Tawa & Grill at 459 Whalley New Road, Blackburn; rated on March 11, Naafiah at 81 Victoria Street, Blackburn; rated on February 13, Sukhi's Curry Ltd, at 15 Blackburn Road, Darwen was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on March 16, Tasty Village, at 140 Bolton Road, Darwen was also given a score of four on March 16, Naga Spice, at 161 Bolton Road, rated on March 15 and New Great Star Takeaway, at 354 Bolton Road, Darwen was also given a score of four on March 15.
In their inspection reports, Lynwood Cantonese, Thira Restaurant, Lynwood Pizza House, Lahori Tawa & Grill, Sukhi's Curry Ltd and Naga Spice were all rated good for hygienic food handling whilst Naafiah was rated generally satisfactory.

Finally in their inspection reports, Thira Restaurant, Lynwood Pizza House, Sukhi's Curry Ltd and Naga Spice were rated generally satisfactory for their management of food safety whilst Lynwood Cantonese, Lahori Tawa & Grill and Naafiah were all rated good.
Two eateries have been handed a three after recent inspection, these include Hoddlesden Deli & Village Store at 20-22 Queens Square, Hoddlesden; rated on March 11 and Spice Manzil at 43 New Wellington Street, Blackburn; rated on March 18.
The inspection reports state they were both rated generally satisfactory in all areas.
Suhana Spice at 137 Blackburn Road, Darwen, was rated a two after inspection on March 12 and the inspection report states the management of food safety is generally satisfactory whilst improvement is necessary for the hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building.
Finally, Ice Blast at 110 Whalley New Road, Blackburn, was rated a one out of five on March 18, the inspection report states improvement is necessary for both the hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and major improvement is necessary for the management of food safety.
