HERE’S a photo from the archive we definitely need your help with.
We know it was from a social event organised for workers at Blackburn’s ROF factory, possibly in the early 1960s.
But what on earth was going on? There are women in their finery appearing to be taking part in some kind of relay race on children’s tricycles while the band looks on some perplexed.
Was the indoor trike relay a common practice at the annual ball? What were the rules?
If any Looking Back readers can help, please get in touch. Perhaps you recognise the band, the venue or even some of the ‘cyclists’.
Email bygones@nqnw.co.uk if you can help solve the mystery or leave a comment and we’ll share the information with Looking Back readers.
