Luxury retirement apartments at a living complex have all sold.
The complex in Ramsbottom was developed by Adlington Retirement Living and is seen as a blueprint for the future of retirement homes.
The Cottons, located just a few minutes’ walk from the town, welcomed its first homeowners in March 2020 and is the tenth Adlington Retirement Living community to sell-out.
Alexandra Johnson, Sales and Marketing Director for Adlington Retirement Living, said: “We’re really pleased to have welcomed homeowners to all 57 of our apartments at The Cottons now.
“There’s a real sense of community there and it’s wonderful to see so many homeowners enjoying their retirement.”
The 24-hour on-site support teams provide homeowners with peace of mind and help with all issues homeowners might have.
Dr Ed Gladman, CEO of Adlington Retirement Living, believes The Cottons is a wonderful example of a new blueprint for retirement living.
He said: “Adlington’s vision is to empower our older generation to live a long, happy and healthy life.
“We do that by creating safe and secure environments with active communities, extensive facilities, and spacious, quality homes.
“Moving to a retirement living community offers an opportunity for our homeowners to remain independent with the reassurance of support, right on their doorstep.
“They don’t have to worry about the maintenance and upkeep of a house, so they can spend more time socialising and doing the things they love.”
Talks and special events are regularly delivered with guest speakers, authors and performers.
Last year, homeowners at The Cottons welcomed a local author to share the fascinating true story of two Second World War Spitfire pilots.
Through its partnerships with local CQC qualified care providers, every community also offers consistently high standards of tailored personal care packages to homeowners in need of assistance.
Care provision is completely flexible, allowing the team to arrange short-term support for post-operative care or after an illness, or more long-term assisted living.
