A teenager has been arrested after a police officer was headbutted and spat at, according to the British Transport Police (BTP).
The 16-year-old, who was reported missing, was found by officers in Carnforth.
Officers then tried to prevent him from boarding a train. The teen then headbutted one officer in the face.
He then spat and the saliva went into the second officer’s mouth, according to the BTP.
He was arrested and later bailed. He is set to be referred to the Young Offending Team.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: “A 16-year-old youth reported missing was found by officers at Carnforth.
“As they went to prevent him boarding a train, he headbutted one officer in the face.
“He then spat, with the saliva going in the second officer’s mouth. He was Arrested and bailed for Youth Offending Team referral.”
