A new smash burger joint which sells a gut-busting £15 five patty burger is to open this weekend.
The 50-seater Groke in Blackburn with be the third to open following the successful launch of the brand in Warrington in 2021.
The new burger bar cost £90,000 to renovate and will open on the former Desi Nibbles spot on Whalley Range opposite Cedar Street.
As part of an opening day offer on Sunday, April 23, the takeaway is handing out 100 free burgers to the first 100 customers.
Manager Zayn Ahmed said: “We thought it would be great to open in the heart of Whalley Range.
“The business district has a huge range of food outlets and attracts people from across the region.
“Groke is all about high quality meals. We have our own signature burgers which the people of Blackburn and beyond will get to taste for the first time.
“Our menu features everything from burgers with eggs to burgers with crisps.
“We also have homemade donner and exclusive American soft drinks which we think will be a hit with local customers.
“We created the whole brand and concept from scratch and it has been really inspiring journey for us to see these ideas come into fruition in such a short time.”
If you are feeling brave then you could challenge yourself to the 'Big Ben Burger' which comes with five patties.
Zayn said: “We think our prices are really competitive and meals are quite filling.”
Zayn added: “We had to renovate the whole building and there is seating both upstairs and downstairs.
“A lot of work has been put into the interior in a short space of time. We also have one of very few neon signs outside.
“I think people will be impressed with the look and feel for the place.”
“As part of the launch we are giving away 100 free burgers to the first 100 customers.”
The new Groke will open on Sunday (April 23) at 2pm.
