A train guard was assaulted when a group of people refused to buy tickets on board the train.
On Easter Monday (April 10) the guard approached and spoke to a group of four people who did not have tickets and refused to buy them.
As they left the service at Kirkham and Wesham station, a male punched the guard in the head, leading to the service being terminated at Preston.
Police say enquiries, including reviewing of CCTV, are ongoing.
