Those out enjoying the Bank Holiday weekend in Blackburn tomorrow could experience warmer weather than those in Turkey.
Temperatures of 15°C could be reached in later parts of the afternoon and early evening on Sunday (April 9), with the Met Office predicting temperatures to peak between 3pm and 6pm.
In Turkey, meanwhile, where many Brits might have flocked to get some sunshine during their Easter holidays, temperatures may only reach 14°C.
The chance of rain during Easter Sunday does not get any higher than 10 per cent during the day, though does go up to 60 per cent later in the evening at around 9pm.
There may be some envious looks to other parts of the country though, where temperatures could reach as high at 18°C.
Craig Snell, a Met Office Forecaster, said: "On Easter Sunday for a good chunk of the UK it’s going to be fairly reasonable, the only place we’ll probably see a change is Northern Ireland where it’ll turn increasingly breezy, cloudy and eventually damp.
“But for the most part it will be fairly sunny and temperatures may peak at around 18 degrees C – so, pleasantly warm out there.”
Those out enjoying the warm spell should make the most of it, as a dip in temperature and increased chances of rain are expected going into next week.
In Blackburn temperatures may only reach 11°C next week on both Monday and Friday, and light rain is expected at intermittent periods throughout the week.
Wednesday could see the temperature drop right down to 8°C, almost half of the peak high temperature on Sunday.
Mr Snell added: “It’s a bank holiday weekend, so the weather has timed itself nicely really because it looks like it’s going to turn wet and windy as we go into next week.
“People can enjoy the early spring sunshine, but even though it’s not really warm the sun is still strong – it’s as strong as it is towards the back end of summer now.
“Just be careful if you’re out for a long time, you can easily get sunburned out there. This time of year catches a lot of people out.
“But it’s not going to last too long – Monday is certainly going to be that day of change, as low pressure starts to dominate the scene. With blustery showers it’s the day to do anything you want indoors.”
