The new CUPP Bubble Tea store in Blackburn is set to have its grand opening this week.

CUPP Bubble Tea which has branches in London, Manchester, Leicester, Brighton and Bristol will open on Victoria Street, just off Barbara Castle Way.

The store will take up the spot between the Kiddies Store and the Shandaar Takeaway.

To celebrate the opening, the first 100 customers will get a free drink from 5pm on Friday (April 7). A further 50 per cent off drinks offer will run thereafter.

The new Blackburn branch will be brand’s 28th store to open in the UK.

Bubble Tea is made up of loose leaf tea, fresh fruit and fresh milk and is said to have originated in Taiwan in the 1980s before becoming increasingly popular across the world.

Head of operations, Paul Tanner said: “We’ve seen an incredible response to the opening of our new stores across the country, with customers queuing around the block for a taste of our bubble teas.

“We can't wait to open our 28th store in Blackburn and bring our bubble teas to the community."

Customers are encouraged to arrive early on opening day to take advantage of the free bubble tea offer.

Lancashire Telegraph:

The Blackburn launch will be the brand's 28th store

CUPP launched in Bristol in 2012 and began life in a converted Citroen H van before launching in high streets across the country. The brand serves festivalgoers at Glastonbury and other major festivals.

The CUPP menu features a range of milk teas and fruit teas made with organic milk. The company said it uses brown sugar syrup instead of using artificial fructose.

The new Blackburn store location 67 Victoria Street, is well known throughout the town and has seen a number of small businesses take residency there over the past two decades.

However, it is best known for being the location of the old Asian video shop – Galavisions.

As work began some months the image of the famous Galavisions sign that had been hidden away for many years was revealed.
