Update: The road has reopened.
A road has been closed after a teenage boy was hit by a car in Lancashire.
Police were called at around 3.50pm today (March 31), after an incident involving a car and a teenager on Spendmore Lane.
Officers have closed Spendmore Lane at the junction with Regent Street, Clancutt Lane and New Road, Coppull.
Police say the boy was hit by the car and taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service.
A spokesperson for the police said: “We have closed Spendmore Lane at the junction with Regent Street, Clancutt Lane and New Road, Coppull due to a road traffic collision.
“Please avoid the area and we will update once the road reopens.”
