Blackburn comedian Tez Ilyas has been delivering food parcels to Syrian refugees, in Lebanon.
Tez and his wife have been hand-delivering food parcels to Syrian refugees to help them get through Ramadan, which is set to end on April 21.
Tez appealed for funds earlier this month and hoped to raise £5,000 and feed around 50 families.
Tez has smashed that target and raised more than £16,000 so far.
The former Witton Park High School pupil has shared pictures and videos of himself playing with children and delivering food parcels.
In one video he said: “So we are out here in a Syrian refugee camp distributing aid that we packed yesterday.
“This is the aid that you guys have fundraised for. Thank you so, so much.
“You can see how many people are here, women, children, widows, men.
“We are doing this… while we are fasting in the middle of Ramadan but these people need us so we are out here doing it.”
In a Twitter post, Tez said he will “never forget” the day for the rest of his life.
He said: “If you’d like to donate please do so. I cannot overstate how much these beautiful souls need our help.
“Each food parcel, costing just £100, feeds a family of seven for 30 days.
“These are families who have fled violence in Syria and are living in makeshift tents in crowded camps with little or nothing to their name.
“Without our support, they will spend another month hungry, with nothing to break their fasts when the sun sets.
“I will share my journey on social media to show you exactly where your donations are going and how they are making a difference.
“I have set us a target of feeding 50 families this Ramadan. That's literally less people than live on your street.
"No donation is too big or too small, please only give whatever you are comfortable with.”
