A bingo player hit the jackpot when her numbers were called.
And life ain't half grand for the grandma who won £50,000 on the National Bingo Game at Mecca Bingo in Bolton.
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, is a regular visitor to the Mecca Bingo hall in Bolton and was said to be over the moon when she realised that she had won the jackpot.
On the night of her win, she was playing alone, but regularly plays with her grandchildren, who are in their twenties.
On hearing the news that she had won £50,000, she said that she would be treating the whole family.
Victoria Slater, general manager at Mecca Bingo Bolton, said: “Sunday nights are always a great atmosphere at Mecca, but when we found out one of our regular players had just become a National Bingo Game jackpot winner, it gave us a real reason to party.
“We are thrilled for her and her family and that Bolton is firmly on the jackpot map.”
Alastair Stewart, head of commercial operations at the National Bingo Game said: “It’s always exciting when we announce that there has been another National Bingo Game £50,000 Jackpot winner and even more special when it’s a regular player who is the big winner.
“We really do love making winners and hope this latest one enjoys spending her winnings and spoiling her family, it’s just wonderful.”
The National Bingo Game is played across the UK and offers players at participating clubs and venues the chance to win Jackpot Prizes of £50,000, £1,000, and £100, as well a club prize on every game.
Total prize money paid to date by the National Bingo Game is over £1 billion and it is the UK’s second-largest computer-controlled game.
The National Bingo Game is played twice a day, every day, 364 days a year at all Mecca Clubs. To find out more about Mecca Bolton, including sessions and upcoming events, visit www.meccabingo.com/bingo-clubs/bolton
