An East Lancs shopping centre will be hosting a week of free childrens’ activities this Easter.
The Mall in Blackburn will, between Monday, April 10 and Saturday, April 15, be hosting various animal-themed arts and crafts where youngsters will be able to make masks, models and much more.
Activities will take place every day from 11.00am to 4.00pm in the unit between Poundbakery and Muffin Break.
The highlight of the week will be on the Friday when children can meet baby animal puppets including a chimp, a sloth, a dodo, and a sabretooth tiger, or get up close and personal with larger animals such as a mammoth, a gorilla, an orangutang, a panda, and a tortoise.

- Monday, April 10 – Snake mobile workshop
- Tuesday 11 – Wild animal mask workshop
- Wednesday 12 – 3D lizard model workshop
- Thursday 13 – Parrott puppet workshop
- Friday 14 – Wild animals meet and greet
- Saturday 15 – Elephant blower workshop
Loraine Jones, general manager at The Mall Blackburn, said: “Once again the school holidays are upon us and parents will be looking for ways to keep the kids entertained – especially if the weather isn’t on our side!
“We have a great line-up of really wild and totally free activities that are sue to put a spring in the step of our little shoppers.
“As usual, The Mall is closed on Easter Sunday, but the fun starts on Easter Monday!”
