A fish and chip shop in Lancashire has been revealed as one of the best in the UK, according to The Fry Awards 2023.

 

Pisces, in Fleetwood, is the only Lancashire chippy to have made the top 50 list, which is judged by a group of mystery reviewers or go into premises unannounced inspecting food quality, value for money and other business aspect.  

According to the company website, the fish and chip shop has been in operation for more than two decades.

It claims to use only the best quality produce with fish, from sustainable waters, and locally harvested potatoes.

The fish and chip shop has a 4.5 rating on Google and hundreds of customers have left positive reviews.

One person said: “The best! It serves the best, biggest fish had in a long time, decent lads working too. Food was fast and fresh.”

Another customer said: “The staff and cashier are really friendly and talkative.

“Really nice food with massive portions.

“I would go as far as to saying it is the best fish and chips in Fleetwood.”

Reece Head, competition organiser, said: “Once again we’ve had another year where it’s simply got harder to operate a fish and chip business, with rising energy, labour and ingredient costs taking a heavy toll.
