The organisers of Blackburn Easter Fair are warning people against a scam claiming to be the event which instructs people to ‘collect your prize’.
The scam involves receiving an email from ‘Blackburn Eastern Fair’ saying someone has won a poster share competition and then asks them to enter bank details.
A Blackburn Easter Fair spokesperson said: “Please note we have not picked any winners yet in the poster share competition.
“Do not click on any links from Blackburn 'Eastern' Fair or anyone else asking you to fill in a registration to collect your 'prize', they are trying to scam you. We would never ask for bank/card details.”

The real winners of the competition will be announced next week and contacted from the fair’s Facebook page via direct message.
The attraction will run at Witton Country Park from March 31 to April 15 and will see popular rides like dodgems and waltzers, as well its iconic ‘Fighter’ ride.
The genuine competition gives people the chance to win 10 ride tickets for sharing the fair’s poster on Facebook.
