Principal of the school, Charlotte Ormerod said: “We only decided to enter the competition three weeks ago so didn’t really have much chance to prepare but felt it would be a good experience for the children to dip their toes into the competitive dance world.
“I was blown away by how they rose to the challenge and was thrilled with the success that we had on the day, I am so proud!”
McCaw School of Dance, based on Water Lane Edenfield, has been running for 38 years and has had huge success with graduating pupils gaining places at top dance colleges in the country such as Bird College, SLP Leeds, Preston College and London studio centre.
As well as incredible exam success in tap, modern and ballet with pupils having 100 per cent pass rate success of distinction and merits.
Charlotte Ormerod said: “I am so excited for the future of our school and we are excited to start training for our next competition and we are busy planning for our 40th anniversary celebrations in 2025.”
