A talented 10-year-old wrestler from Accrington won all four of his fights at a major tournament in Scotland.

Abdullah Nasar, a pupil Saint Anne Saint Joseph school was representing Sharples Wrestling Club in Bolton, where he trains twice a week

Dad Nasar Mohammed said: “He competed in under 11s, 30kg group and was up against 10 other competitors.

“Abdullah had four bouts and won all of them which featured had a lot of talented boys.

“In December, he also won gold at a inter-club competition for the north west representing his mosque in Accrington.

“His coaches say Abdullah’s progression is outstanding and his hard work and determination is credit to him and always try’s his best and is good example too other kids.”

Abdullah also competed in the English National Championship at Nottingham’s Wild Cats Arena earlier this month picking up a silver medal.

Abdullah said: “I have a dream is to compete for Olympics at the highest stage and I love freestyle wrestling.

“I want to say thank you to my coaches Eddy Kavanagh and Mostafa Fathiniya who are great.”
