The Met Office has issued a further weather warning for snow and ice in the coming days.
The yellow warning covers the whole of East Lancashire and is in place from Monday (March 13) at 5.00pm until 10.00am on Tuesday (March 14).
The weather service says rain, sleet and snow followed by ice is likely to cause some impacts to travel.
It adds that roads and railways are likely to be affected, with longer journey times by road, bus, and train services.
There will likely be icy patches on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths, and they warn of injuries that can occur from slips and falls on icy surfaces.
This follows the warning that was in place in the area from Saturday (March 11) until 6am this morning (March 12).
