The Lancashire Fusilier train is coming to East Lancashire today and here is where you can spot it.

Lancashire Fusilier’s LMS Black 5 No. 45407 will be passing through Lancashire at just after 4pm today (Monday, March 6).

The locomotive will head from the East Lancashire Railway to the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.

The train will be starting in Castleton and ending in Carnforth on its first leg of the journey.

Information from Tom Cairns of Real Time Trains shows the times the Fusilier will pass through Burnley, Accrington, and Blackburn.

The train will pass Burnley Manchester Road at 5.15pm, Gannow Jn at 5.17pm, Rose Grove at 5.18pm, Hapton at 5.22pm, Huncoat at 5.26pm, Accrington at 5.31pm, Church and Oswaldtwistle at 5.32pm, Rishton at 5.35pm, Blackburn at 5.40pm.

The train will then pass through Mill Hill at 5.43pm, Cherry Tree at 5.44pm, Pleasington at 5.46pm and then on through Preston and other stations before stopping at Carnforth.

After time at Carnforth Steamtown, the locomotive will depart at 22.04pm and will pass through Hellifield at 23.20pm, Gargrave at 23:27pm, Skipton at 23.33pm, and the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway at 12.03am, where it will head to Haworth for stabling.

People who wish to see the Lancashire Fusilier are being warned about the risks of trespass and that anyone going to see the vehicle should be in a position of safety whether that be on a station behind the yellow line or on the correct side of the fence if lineside.
