A community is in shock after police arrested a man on suspicion of murder following the death of a woman in Blackburn.
Police were called to reports of a serious attack at 7.55am on Saturday (March 5) and they later found the woman's body in a house on Primrose Terrace.
The death is being treated as suspicious. A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Cllr Julie Gunn, who represents Mill Hill and Moorgate said: "It's a tragedy. My thoughts and heart are going out to the victim's family and loved ones."
Cllr Jim Smith, who also represents the Mill Hill and Moorgate ward, said: “I would just like to say my thoughts are with the family of the lady who has died.”
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "We were called at around 7.55am yesterday (Saturday, March 4th) to reports of a serious assault in the Mill Hill area of Blackburn.

“The body of a woman was sadly found at an address on Primrose Terrace a short time later.
"Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers.
“An investigation has been launched and a 30-year-old man from Blackburn has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody.
“At this time we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death."
On Sunday afternoon, police and forensics were still on the scene collecting evidence and cordons remained in place at the front and back of the street.

A blue tent was also erected at the front of the house on Primrose Terrace.
One woman, who lives near the scene, said her son saw a large number of police vans from his bedroom window on Saturday morning.
She said: "My son came downstairs about 9am yesterday because his window looks onto the road. He was saying 'mum, mum there's loads of police there, what's happened'.
"We saw ambulances, the CSI vans and from people I have spoken to they thought someone had died.
"There have just been so many police cars here"
