The M65 westbound is currently blocked due to a police incident.
Traffic is unable to move between junction 8 (Accrington) and junction 7 (Rishton/Accrington) due to the incident.
Lancashire Police were called at 9.40am this morning to a report of a concern for welfare.
Both carriageways were initally closed but the eastbound side has reopened after traffic was stopped for around 30 minutes.
The westbound carriageway reopened at 10.45am.
