Blackburn Love Island contestant Claudia Fogarty has been dumped from the ITV show in a shock twist.
Claudia, the daughter of former World Superbike champion Carl Fogarty, was axed from the show in last night’s episode (Thursday, March 2).
This was after a cruel twist which saw contestants Olivia Hawkins and Maxwell Samuda, who were been dumped in Wednesday’s episode, choose which couple they wanted to leave the villa with them.
They chose Claudia and her partner in the show Keanan Brand.
When discussing 24-year-old professional rugby player Keanan and business owner Claudia, Olivia said: “I think we all know that’s a friendship.”
Maxwell said: “One hundred percent”.
After host Maya Jama told the couple to reveal their decision, Olivia told her fellow islanders: “This has been a really difficult decision for both of us.
“Do you keep a couple in that could potentially rebuild a flame? Do you keep a boy and a girl that haven’t had enough time?
“There’s so many options we could have gone for.”
Following the decision, Olivia whispered to Claudia: “I’m so sorry.”
In response to the decision, Claudia said: “I’m going to see my mum, I’m happy.”

Following her departure, the 28-year-old said: “So I didn’t find love but there is someone out there for me on the outside.
“I can’t wait to go out there and find him.
“I have made friends for life, I’ve had ups and downs, things have happened that have made me a lot stronger as a person.
“I will not look back and regret anything and I’ve had the best experience ever.”
Before Claudia entered the villa she revealed in an interview that her dad, Carl, wanted her to find a man that “wasn’t a d***head”.
She said: “He was really for it.
"My dad said he was really proud and to take the opportunity to find someone that’s not a d***head, that’s exactly what he said to me.”
Love Island continues on ITV2 and ITVX.
