A Blackburn woman is showcasing a range of her own recipes and her paintings.
Mihaela Mladin has also spoken of her time settling in the UK from Romania and how she was welcomed to Blackburn.
Her recipes in ‘The Common People Magic Cook book’ are free and something she is hoping will be enjoyed by others.
She said: “I enjoy cooking and it is something I like to do
“I am not James Martin, who is one of my favourite chefs, but just a common person who likes to cook, eat and offer food to others.
“My recipe shows the pleasure of certain recipes and people can cook at home.
“It is all about the pleasure of cooking, eating and sharing with others.
“Food makes people happy.”
Mihaela came to the UK in 2011 and is a British citizen and volunteers her time at Blackburn Cathedral.
The recipes range from fish to fruit salads she explores a variety of meals which are simple to make.
She says of Mussels: “Mussels remain always an enigma for my mind and senses , from collecting them on the beach to make necklaces – to eat them these days.
“Just throw them in a frying pan with garlic, butter, salt, lemon and white wine.”

She said: “My life in England is a sum of unending stories.
“My writings are an expression of all my small experiences, small achievements, small wins, new people, special people, calm evenings, poetries and stories.”
A keen painter Mihaela recently donated paintings towards the Turkey and Syria earthquake appeal during a community Fun Day.
She added: “I like to paint. It is mostly flowers and scenery which inspires me the most.
“Some of my work will be displayed in Blackburn on 19 March. The theme - ‘Life, Landscape and Worship in Lovely Lancashire."
All the paintings at the exhibition are for sale and the money will be donated to the Cathedral Choir.
