Three fire engines from Clitheroe and Nelson battled a domestic building fire last night (March 1).
Crews were called to Bridge Road, Chatburn, at 7pm, where firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used a hose reel, a gas monitor and ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.
Two casualties suffered from smoke inhalation and are being cared for by the North West Ambulance Service.
Crews attended for one hour and 10 minutes.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "At 7pm on March 1, three fire engines from Clitheroe and Nelson attended a domestic building fire on Bridge Road, Chatburn.
"Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel, a gas monitor and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.
"Two casualties suffered from smoke inhalation and were passed into the care of North West Ambulance Service.
"Crews were in attendance for one hour and ten minutes."
