A hospice in Burnley is opening a pop-up shop this month to offer teenagers the chance to buy prom dresses for a fraction of the normal price.
Pendleside Hospice is opening the prom dress pop-up shop at their base in Colne Road, Burnley on March 23 to March 25.
The shop will provide students with discounted prom dresses that have been donated to the hospice by former high school students.
As part of the Pendleside Hospice's 'Rewear Revolution' campaign, the hospice sent out an appeal asking people to donate their unwanted prom dresses and suits that were collecting dust at the back of their wardrobes.
The campaign promotes sustainability and aims to raise awareness of the benefits of shopping for preloved items and, in doing so, raising vital funds for Pendleside Hospice.
A spokesperson for the hospice said: “Prom can be an expensive time for parents and you want to make it special for your children, so we will be hosting a pop up shop here from the March 23 to 25 where you can find all things prom!
“We have already had some amazing donations so please come down, support your local hospice whilst save yourself some money.”
The shop will offer prom dresses and suits for all shapes and sizes and is encouraging as many people as possible to have a look.
The hospice is still accepting donations for prom clothing which can be dropped off at their donation centre in Colne Road.
