An East Lancashire stylist, who has helped dress and create a wardrobe for celebrities, has opened a new shop in Rawtenstall.
Selene Bridge, from Helmshore, is the owner of boutique business Unscripted which launched online in 2019.
The 25-year-old, who already has a store in Haslingden which opened in 2020, has opened another site in Rawtenstall Market.
The business stocks a range of clothes, from every day outfits to occasion wear, as well as shoes and accessories.
Selene said she wanted to open another shop in Rawtenstall Market following the popularity of their pop-up stall at Christmas.
She said: “We did a pop up at Christmas and realized that a lot of people liked having us there.
"People have been coming into our Haslingden site telling us how much they miss us.
“We think the market itself is really up-and-coming with some great brands and businesses.
“It’s a really nice space that businesses think has a great atmosphere. It’s so nice to have a presence there.
“Customers have been really positive so far and absolutely loving the new boutique.”
While customers are attracted to the unique clothing range, which is updated weekly, Selene also thinks customers appreciate the styling tips and advice staff have.
Selene said: “I think customers appreciate the personal styling we offer.
"We are very honest and help people find clothes that look great but ensure they feel comfortable too.
“We like to educate customers about staple wardrobe pieces and show them how it can be styled in many different ways.
“We also like to create a personal relationship with customers which they love.
“So many people come to us and say they just can’t find an outfit, or that everyone seems to be wearing the same things these days.
“We will always have new items in that not everyone is wearing.”
Selene is no stranger to putting outfits together and started her career as a stylist.
She has even helped dress celebrities such as Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice, Blue singer Duncan James and Hollyoaks star Nikki Sanderson.
Selene said: ““Before Unscripted I had a career as a stylist. I helped dress celebrities who were doing red carpets and photoshoots for magazines such as Ok! And Hello.
“I found that people weren’t able to put the outfits together and this is how Unscripted was born.
“People come in and say ‘if you’re good enough for Giovanni Pernice you’re good enough for me’.”
Another Hollyoaks actress Sarah Jayne Dunne, is reportedly a regular customer at the Haslingden store.
“Sarah often comes down to the boutique with her mum and they make a day of it,” said Selene.
“That’s great because she always get pictured by the paparazzi and we get some magazine mentions which is a great boost for our business.”
After facing tough battles in the pandemic Selene said she is looking forward to the future and can’t wait to see where her business will go next.
She said: “We are really excited for the future of the Rawtenstall shop and can’t wait to get to know people in the community even more.
“Running Unscripted hasn’t always been easy. We signed for our building in Haslingden just as Covid just struck.
“It’s been a real journey, but an exciting one.”
