A popular food and drink festival is returning to Darwen this Easter weekend.

The annual event is hosted and organised independently by Darwen Bars and Leisure and will be held on Sunday, April 9 to Monday, April 10.

Located on the town’s market square, the festival will start at 10am and go on all day until 10pm on both days.

The event brings together a cocktail of different food and cuisines to try from all over the world and sees a host of local businesses and artists come together.

Lancashire Telegraph:

A spokesperson for the festival said: “The Darwen Food and Drink Festival is a yearly event ran independently by Darwen Bars and Leisure over the Easter weekend combining live music performances from acoustic singers and musicians, different food and cuisines from all around the world available from a wide range of vendors and local crafts, gifts and farm produce are also included in the event.

“Working closely with the council and local authorities, the first event was held in April 2021 on the town market square and was hailed a great success.
