Police in Rossendale have recovered two stolen vehicles with help from the public.
Yesterday (February 19), police started their evening by tracking down a stolen Mini in the Whitworth area.
After the car was recovered, officers returned it to the owner before beginning their search for another stolen vehicle.
Police checked CCTV footage for a stolen van from Haslingden and, with the help from members of the public, managed to locate the vehicle which was tucked away around Ewood Bridge.
The van was recovered and returned to the owner who was ‘extremely happy’ and an investigation into the theft is under way.
A spokesperson for the police said: “The team are extremely passionate about our investigations and the impact that these cross border crimes have on both the victims and the community, sending a clear message to criminals that Lancashire is not a place to come and commit crime.”
