The family of a teenage girl who was found dead in an East Lancashire park will be holding a balloon release in honour of her 14th birthday.
Alyssa Morris was found in Brungerley Park in Clitheroe on Sunday February 12 after police were called to reports that a body had been found.
The teenager died just five days before her 14th birthday, and her family will be holding a balloon release at Clitheroe Castle on Friday, February 17 at 4.00pm to honour her birthday.
Attendees are encouraged to bring multi-coloured balloons.
Tributes have also been pouring in for Alyssa since her death, from family and Clitheroe residents.
Flowers have been left at the spot where she was found, and the family have said the generosity is “absolutely overwhelming.”

“Thirdly I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has looked on my page to find the GoFundMe page and donated. Everyone’s generosity is absolutely overwhelming.
